Library @ Trikora is a new communal facility located in Mengkurus, Teluk Bakau, Bintan Island, that is open to village locals of various ages, from preschoolers to schooling youths and adults.
We hold a comprehensive range of Bahasa, English and Mandarin books, categorised mainly into fiction, non-fiction and reference. In adddition, there is a Play Corner storing a wide variety of educational toys and board games as well as a Reference Section which displays encyclopedic resources suited for school students and staff of neighbouring schools in Teluk Bakau and Kawal.
Locals can also look forward to attending free English, Mandarin, and IT lessons/learning programs, specially crafted by our friends (volunteers) from e.g Singapore or by our dedicated management team of the Library.
90% of our Library materials, which include books, toys, and A/V items, are all generously donated by our friends from Singapore.
It is also the holding studio for current AnakPantai Productions on Youtube where the kids can showcase comedy skits and vlogs of their unique and humble lifestyles that can be found nowhere else but in Trikora.
We are open daily from 11:30AM to 5:00PM but timings are subjected to changes. Open classes and programmes usually run on weekends. All are warmly welcome!
